Ok. I finally have everything I need to plumb my sump, well almost. I have a 55 gallon tank, so the dimensions are that of a typical 55. I have a CPR 150 Overflow box. According the their site, the outflow size is a 1 1/2 inch bulkhead. The Sump is a pro clear aquatic 125 sump. It is about 9.5 inches wide, 16 inches high (although the pvc tube coming out of it makes it 17 high) and it is 19 inches long. I have a quiet one 3000 pump. What do I need to purchase to install the plumbing?

3000 return pump? wow for a 55 start off with a ball valve there to adjust the flow comming out of it, i would then put to ball valves one the returns its self and def use some unions so you can always replace pieces if needed, primer and glue and your set. pipe away

+ 1 on melevsreef.com. I have been referring to that site since I started researching. I am going to be building a 20G long sume for my 40G breeder.

Kathy, are you saying a quietone 300 would be sufficient, or overkill?
