Hey guys, I'm look to build an led fixture for my 120g. I'm currently looking at q4 cree leds. On ledsupply they have it for $7.49 per. Do anybody know when I can get them for a little bit cheaper?

Any particular reason for Q4s? I've purchased Q5s from:

I prefer Rapidled.com because shipping was cheaper for me, Nanotuners would've shipped from west coast.

There was a few group buys on Nano Reefs that dropped the pricing down to $4ish per diode.

Nope, I never documented them. I got most of my information from Evilc66 on NanoReefs. There's a few build threads here if you search the DIY forum.

One of my favorite blog posts is http://www.reefaddicts.com/content.php/70-LED-pendent-build as it shows the intensity the Crees output... notice the height, and he does use Q4s like you inquired about...not to mention, he's driving them @ 700mA, but they're rated for 1000mA.

If I were building this for my tank, this would be the led of choice:

Cutter has done all the hard work. The emitters are on a nice little heat sinks and pre-wired. They offers nice culminating optics in different configurations. And they are using the newer / newest gen of leds; XPE and XPG. Not only do these have higher output than XREs, they are more efficient.
