Special LIRA LIGHTING Meeting 3/5

This has been posted by James (Dickends) on RC regarding the special Lighting meeting this coming Fri March 5th..
The next 'regular' LIRA meeting is April 9th (April 2nd being Good Friday).

Here is the invitation from James:

At the request of LIRA and MR memebers, my office will open between 6pm and 10pm for visitors this coming Friday, March 5.

Everyone is welcome to bring your corals and used equipments for swap or sale. By 8pm, we will have a demonstration with various lightings, everyone (including vendor) is welcome to bring your own lightings for demonstration.

You are also welcome to bring your own lights and use my lighting meter to check the PAR value of your lightings.

A free 18" LED Lighting (model A101) from Acan Lighting will be given to the draw winner before 10pm.

Are the meetings usually in the same area or do they go all over the island? Was thinking about joining but wouldnt be interested in traveling the backroads of Long Island to find the meetings.

The meetings have been at Dickends for quite some time now.

..and I don't think they charge members for the tickets Wingo, but you only get 1 each..IIRC

I hope James can print the 3' x 3' grid, so that we can chart out the PAR values of various lights. It takes me more than 30 minutes to make one sheet.

Whats the cost for non-members? My membership expired
