Bte hiding?

I just put a Bta in my tank last night and this morning i found him on the underside of a rock out of the light i would imagine that he is just trying to find a good spot but was curious if they tend to hide out of the light?

Give it a few days and see what it does. It may not be used to lighting you have yet. They tend to move around a lot in the beginning.

Mine did the same thing. It found a nice crevice for it's base and extends out about 5 inches between the rocks for light.

Totally normal. BTAs tend to like their feet in a dark crevice.

there is no where for him to extend for light where he is, he is on the underside of a rock

Can you move somthings around. I redid my whole 75 for my bta. Around 80 lbs of rock was moved.
