Hey guys I have not posted on MR too much, but have been around reefing for a long time.

My name is Seth and this is one of my aquariums photographed from the top, my favorite view

Lit by 400 watt radiums, water parameters are typical of any successful SPS system, except maybe the nitrate level.

hope everyone enjoys!!!

Radiums are great for color, growth is ok,

nowhere near the growth rate of lower spectrum bulbs of the same wattage though

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!

CTX- Im pretty sure that birdsnest is a ORA Bird of Paradise. Sick piece!

This tank is a 144 gallon half round, which soon might be upgraded to a 300 gallon aquarium. The half round gives me better flow patterns then i have ever had in any other aquarium. Soooo hard to get quality full tank shots with the round glass though.

Heavy bio load in the tank too. 4 Anthias, coral beauty, 2 clowns, bunch of neon gobies, and two super large, like 10" tangs, a hippo and sailfin. Probably should have never put them in, but they add a lot of life to the aquarium. They knock over lots of corals too. Sometimes Nitrates are quite high. I see stronger coloration of SPS with some nitrate in the water, stunts growth though in my opinion.

I hope the 300 gallon pans out. I will keep you all posted!

Thanks again!

300 gals, that niceeeee.. Yeah, definitely hard to take decent pics with round glass.. so no wonder you go for the top down shots, haha.. but seems like you need to get a more steady shot..
