no cool critters

is it odd that i have absolutly no critters anywhere in my system.nothing in fuge nothing in main tank.absolutly nothing.tank is 3 years old.i added all types of pods into it and at night i look inside with a red light and nothing.i know my sixline grabs whatever he can in the main but my fuge has nothing to pick them off.
