so i have a few pieces of LR that had green star polyps, after the tank failure i was able the keep them and a few other small corals... they didnt open for a long time and the base receded alot.. well abt 3 days ago they started to reapear and start coming out again(its been abt 2 mo) now they seem to be building at the base and looking good,alto in their infantcy of the rebirth and are vert small...they are no longer green..they seem to be a purpleish color...

any ideas y? or do they start this color and turn green?? i will try and get pics up shortly...

That is the mat that they grow out of. Looks fine.

i understand the mat is purple..im talking abt the polyps themselves... if you look at that part it seems to be a purplish color..not conserned but more curious..bc i lost the corals and fish from my old setup bc of a cracked heater..wondering if that may possibly caused it to change...

LOL, id be pissed too if all my friends were electrocuted to death and i was stuck sitting in their goo for a week.. lol..i was on vacation!!! lol but finally after abt 8weeks or more maybe.. theyre finaly starting to grow.. i thought they were gone and just the mat was left.. but i guess the 20g rescue tank worked..
