Any good local aquariums

I am thinking more along the lines of outside the 5 boroughs, but not totally opposed. I am in Rockland county. Wanna bring my daughter and wife to see what my tank will look like when it's set up...(yeah right)

I don't know how far you are willing to go, but there's a good one in Riverhead, NY called Atlantis Marine World. There's also a bunch of LFS you can stop at on the way back!

Well, Greenwich Aquaria, and House of fins in Greenwich have nice tanks, but don't let your wife, see the prices! In Westchester, just outside of Peekskill, Allstar Aq. has 2 nice coral tanks, In New Rochelle, R&C has few reef tanks, and in Bedford Hills, Complete Aq. has a nice tank in their front window...(His prices are also ridiculous).

Atlantis in Long Island, is a public aquarium...unbelieveable reef tank, the others are LFSs....Norwalk Ct. has a nice public Aquarium...'Maritime'

There are a few nice ones if you want to make a trip. Mystic CT has an aquarium and so does Norwalk CT. The one in Norwalk is nice It's called the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk. The Mystic Aquarium is a bit of a drive but fun none the less. Then you have Atlantis Marine World in Long Island. Very nice place to go.
