Could someone ID this hitchhiker?

I found this guy in my tank this morning. It's only 1/4" long and it was moving about twice as fast as my fastest snail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jay

I couldn't see any flat shell but maybe it's too small to see one. It's out of my tank right now but I'll put him back in if he's a stomatella. Anyone have a different thought as to what this guy is? I just bought several frags and I'm paranoid about hitchhikers.

if it is a stomatella it is the best thing that has ever happen to my tank. they come out and clean up everything at night. awesome to have. however is that photo the underside of the stomatella? you should see a distinct shell

The picture was taken from looking down on top of this guy. I can't see a distinct shell but I might have damaged it while netting him off my glass. I'll try to take another pic because it's too small to see a shell with the naked eye.

Thanks, I'm looking at flatworm pics and your id might be correct. I'll have to look for more when the lights are out. It's always something to worry about. Thanks for the input.

salifert flatworm exit as a treatment if you already got it.

prazipro as a preventative dip...the salifert can be used as a dip also but prazipro is cheaper for dipping.

o my gosh don't use the flatworm exit thing... a lot of the corals in my tank died =(
lost a lot of zoas and a giant frogspawn... like 30 heads on it... or remove a lot of the coral and then use it... the flatworms died but they came back. so now the tank has flatoworms again.

The thing that kills the corals is the toxins that the flatworms let out when they die, not the actual treatment. If you run it correctly you won't lose corals.

i used FWE.. but i was treating some corals i got from someone whose tank had it...so i set up a 10g qt tank ad did a coral dip and FWE.. and left them in it for a few days bc the eggs dont get killed by the FWE it says to repeat after a few days( actually says a fortnight)..
i dont have them in my tank and pray i nver get them. i used Tropic Marin as my dip bc it specifies flat worms on the box.. hope this helps

If you read the directions as well as ANY of the posts from people that know how to use flatworm exit like stated before it doesnt kill a thing in your tank- the toxins from the dead flatworms does. If youre going to say to someone not experienced in anyway with them about it, dont make it seem like your tank almost crashed because of the treatment.

You need to suck out as many of the flatworms as you can and then treat the tank with it. Then as you see them dying, youre supposed to suck out the dead ones before they decay and have a chance to become toxic---that being what will kill other tank inhabitants, not the treatment itself---.

Good luck Jay if they are flatworms in getting rid of them, hope it all works out well for you.

OR... I did follow the directions and tried the best I could to siphon out the flatworms but since they can HIDE in rocks and such there could've been a lot of toxins? duh so wouldn't someone else reading what I wrote think: "hmm I should really siphone like crazy to avoid that"
the point is flatworm exit was used to the best of my ability and a lot of my corals died. so that tells me they were hiding in places i couldn't siphon them out of.

just because there are directions and someone follows them to a T doesn't mean it's gonna work. you take the risk along with it.

ps. i don't see anywhere in my post that says "my tank almost crashed" do you? wow talk about putting words in someone's mouth. and i THINK... i think... i can say what happened in my experience with the flatworm exit... geez i hope you never make mistakes or mess something up if it came with directions. you'd have to yell at yourself. alot.
