anyone heard of a company called myfishtank.com that sells uniquariums.
from the website
MYFISHTANK.COM offers the UniQuarium? brand Bow Front acrylic aquariums with the 3-in-1 filtration system incorporated into the back of the aquarium. These systems combine mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration into a compact area and are the perfect choice for both the novice and the seasoned hobbyist preferring a simpler system. Unlike conventional aquarium systems the UniQuarium is very easy to set-up and use. No drilling, no hanging filters or hoses to detract from the beauty of the aquarium.

i am looking to upgrade to a 60 gal or 75gal but wondering if this is a worthy alternative to getting a sump and dealing with plumbing which i have no clue about

not a bad idea but if you could use something other than bioballs that would be great. if your doing a fish only system with live rock you shouldnt run into to many problems. but you gotta watch the nitrates cause those bioballs are known for it. other then that its a pretty good idea for people who dont do plumbing and stuff like that. i looked at the price for the tanks i think there pretty high but hey what do i know. lolz well good luck.

even if you have problems with plumbing there is def. one person here that would def. help you out and do the plumbing. just ask were always here and ready to help.

good luck

I have the 50 gallon one... Took out all the bioballs and block one of the water flows... Now I have a refug in the back with chaeto and stuff. Works pretty well.. good for beginners..

But if I have to do it over now, I go for a regular tank since I know what I'm doing (or at least I like to think so).
