fans for the tank?

what is a good fan to cool down the tank?
The fan goes over my sump under the tank.

I tried most of the fans you get in home depot and walmart, however they dont last longer than a few months. Want to buy a good one that will last.

I was looking at the orion or ones by azoo.

I bought this Turbo fan from HD, worked well until i upgraded to a larger tank n chiller. In the summer I removed it and hosed it down, let it dry well n it continued to work like a charm.

I have 4" or 5" fans from radioshack which look like the computer fans but work on ac current. They also get dirty and i do the same as above and haven't failed me yet.

Harry, that is a great idea. I never thought of rinsing the fans, guess I'll be doing that this year.

Just be sure its COMPLETELY dry before plugging it back in

COMPLETELY! I set it in the sun thru out the day, that usually t\does the job.

Ok i just got a 6fan setup on ebay and i got to say its keeping the temp at 78 as of right know my lights just came on and i will see . The good thing is my chiller hasnt kick on yet so thats a good thing .

I recommend the vornado clip on fan. Been using for the past 3 years and works great to keep my 120 cool. I bought it at bed and bath for around $40

+1 I have a Vornado as well right above my sump and its been working like a champ for almost three years.... Now you know ofcourse its going to die tommorrow after I said that....lol
