I was talking about the pics that you had up there before you edited. This pic is much better! Nice zoos

i know Rich...after looking at it i had to change it.....but still learning

Melt, make sure you are in p mode at least. Then make sure that you have the cam set to center focus lock. If it's not center locked it will pick another part of the pic to focus on and your intended subject will be out of focus.

This pic is alot better, just keep shooting away, it's the best learning tip.

Once you start playing more with the camera, you are going to be in love with this camera!!

Of course a macro lens would be an awesome addition.
