I first got this tiger tail sea cucumber a few years ago... before this guy there wasnt another cucumber in the tank nor was one introduced after him. In any case, this morning I was having a looksy in my tank and I noticed my little buddy... and then I noticed ANOTHER little buddy on the other side of the tank!!
It kinda made my morning to see that my tiger tail spawned.
I couldnt find any info online about sea cucumber spawning. The reproduction had to be done asexually since there wasnt another in the tank.
It was hard to gauge but both of them looked to be about the same size give or take an inch or two (i would say about 6") - which doesnt really make sense. Is it possible that cuc's reproduce via splitting themselves?
I have a 72g tank, I guess I'm going to haave to try and find the 2nd cuc a new home..
Ill try and get some pics up but its a bit hard since theyre usually in odd places.
