I was curious in knowing if anyone could help me find out what my tomato clown has.. He has had for the past two weeks these three lil stripes of white looking hairs on his side belly.. they are no more than 1/8" long. the seem to be attached to his belly--the hairs move with his movements. looks like he has 3 greay hairs... they glow with the blue leds on.doesnt seem to be ick since ick attaches to actual body. he has been fine--eats and has been acting normal--my camera sucks so i cant take pic.i will try to post one. anyone have an idea what it could be? :-/

Sounds like parasites. I am searching for a photo, but so far the only good one is with a freshwater fish. Do they look anything like this?

Never ever ever ever medicate a display tank. Always do it in a hospital tank.

Has anyone here ever treated a fish with worm/parasite ? What did you do exactly. What did u treat with. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I'm totally stressed out right now. He's my first fish ever. Have had him 5+ years. I would pay someone to help me. :-/

Run down to Petland/Petco/Petsmart or whichever petstore is closest to you for a spare quarantine tank that you will not use for anything else other than medication.
Never medicate in the display tank.

Put the fish and water in there then medicate and leave them in there for as long as it takes for the parasites to leave their body.
