Cthoughts,

I do have central air however; I am still nervous about halides. I want to do them but they worry me. Unfortunately I already have sps so I have to do my best to get this tank in order. I just did a water change because I believe I located my problem with the tank- the calcium level is way too high.

What thay failed to tell you was to slowly remove the bioball . Dont remove all at once you will shock the tank . Ever day you remove some untill thay are all gone . Do not i repet Do not remove all at once.

Batt600,

Thanks. It's ok. I haven't removed them all at once. I did my research on that and have been slowly taking them out so as not to shock the tank and cause a spike. Thanks for looking out though.

Justin, before you go spending money on the cal reactor. I would start by dosing the tank and get the levles correct. The most important this is the mag , because that is the buffer between the cal and the alk. start dosing slow and REMOVE THE BIO BALLS. lol :) slowly. once the levels are right then you should look into a cal reactor.

I agree wit Ant
