Size of return to DT

Should I go 1/2" or 3/4" for return to my 120g DT? I understand that the smaller the diameter the greater the pressure. What would be best if I wanted to minimize the number of powerheads in the dt? I'm not planning to get a vortech for now. What size do you use or recommend?

3/4" return for a 120g

3/4 return.. and dont use that in place of powerheads.. use that as your return from your sump.. by increasing the flow you will increase the drain volume increasing thew amt of flow thru thru the sump and cause alot of micro bubbles
