NP Biopellets require a fluidized reactor that will churn them. You must get movement throughout all of the pellets but not too much flow where the bacteria cannot colonize. The flow of the reactor is the most tricky part about setting up the NP Biopellets.

The results you achieve is parallel to Carbon Dosing (vodka, vinegar, etc...). You show see high water clarity, ultra low PO4 and NO3. The carbon source is the pellets themselves and the pellets dissolve as it is consumed by bacteria. It simplifies the dosing to just plug & play. When the pellets are fully dissolved, you simply refill.

We carry the Biopellets so let me know if you wanna try them!

I've had them in a Phosban reactor with a maxi-jet 600 for a week so it's too early to tell. I have the flow from the mj cut back so there is a nice slow flow back into the sump. I dumped the entire 500ml bag in the reactor for my 125.

I plan on running GFO and GAC (Rox) from BRS along with along with the BP.

I think the MJ400 would be fine for the BP in a Phosban reactor. You won't have to throtle it back as much.

I have an MJ400 around here. I might try swapping it out with the 600 to check it.
