What is wrong with my clownfishes?

The big one had red junk coming out of it's butt and then a milky looking sac type thing came out. And then the small one went near the red junk that came out of the large ones butt and a milky substance came out of the small ones butt. Whatever it all was, the wrasses ate it all. Are my clownfishes ok?

I did a little research. Could my clownfishes have spawned? Is that what they did?

The very little bit I know sounds to me like they MAY have spawned , but when mine spawned it was on a piece of live rock, not just in mid stream . If they are mated the may do it again soon . If you want too, try putting something in the tank, maybe a piece of tile or a dish of some sort, to see if they do it again.

They didn't do it in midstream. They did it on a rock in front of the overflow box.

yeah sounds like a spawn that didn't work out the full way. Sort of like they wanted to spawn but they didn't finish. but thats my 2 cents or even 1 cent.

I missed the part where you said on a rock . If they continue I think it could be as often as every 2 to 3 weeks .

If it was a spawn, it was thier first time spawning. If it wasn't, I sure hope they are ok. They are eating just fine, though. They still won't let the yellow coris wrasse go, though. He's been helping the clownfishes clean the rocks in front of the overflow.

Cool. I've had clowns for almost two years with no luck. Though they have differentiated.
