Removing Membrane

I'm trying to remove the Memebran from my RO system, I want to clean it and I'm probably going to replace it soon, and it's stuck and I can't get it out. Anyone have any ideas on how to get it out and is this common.

i just pull one out today you ,when you open the cap you should see a plactic tube comeing out of the center just grab it with a pliars and as you pull on it rotate back and forth it should come out the one i did today was in there hard

I tried that but was afraid I was going to damage the plastic tube coming out as it was stuck pretty good. I'll try it again.

michael if it dont come out i whould wait till you get a spare one that way if it breaks you have one to repalce what size is it

I was think of just getting a new one with a new plastic compartment as they're only $10.

try to run it under hot water for a bit ,it will shrink the rubber seal that is hold in your membrane ,aslo use the pliers when pullingit out

hot water might damage the membrane, no?
and hot doesnt usually shrink things, but it may make it softer.

I'd avoid the hot water. Just grip firmly with pliars, rotate, and pull.

Not sure why you'd need a new RO membrane housings...

does membrane have a hole on the stem? if it does, I cut a metal coat hanger and stuck it in, bend it and pull. it came off with a pop sound.

I'd avoid the hot water appraoch - just grab the neck of the RO membrane with a pair of pliers, and twist while you pull.
