Filter??????

Hey does anybody know what filter is best for a 125g freshwater tank??? and would using a cheap skimmer help in freshwater tank ?

Get the biggest filter you can afford. Wet/Dry would be the best but you can go with Fluval 405 or Eheim 2217 or any other canister filter. I had a 55g discus tank with the wet/dry filter for 120g tank. crystal clear water and happy fish.

If you are talking about a Protein skimmer, don't waste your money. Surface skimmer, yeah.

protein skimming does not work in fw tanks. surface skimming however will.
Canister filter or a wet/dry would be optimal.

If u get a wet/dry, it will come with it. If you getting a canister, u gotta pay like extra $15-$25.
