well thats going to depend. how big is the tank and how deep is it. powerbrites are real good but if you have a deep tank they wont work, there more for nanos. also, adding a few leds really are not going to add much. most of them you see are really for moonlights, not to enhance color in corals. might look nice at night on coral and will enhance some glow, but not day time. they sell diy kits on ebay with 5 watt up to 15-25watt LED kits you can buy and mount to your light structure.

i have had power brites on a 30 inch tall tank and it has def penetrated all the way down to the bottom , so i would def say yes you can use power brites due to the fact that i ran them in a 30 inch high tank with no problem.

Power brites & Panorama are one watt LEDs. You want one watt LEDs for supplementation purposes.
Current Powerbrites utilize narrow focal lenses so they will penetrate a deep tank. In fact they will have a prenounced spot light effect if you use it in a shallow tank like a nano.
Ecoxotic Panorama utilizes more LEDs then a Powerbrite strip but no focal optics. You will get a 120 degree light spread from these modules.

Pecan hit it right on the nose.
Powerbrites are actually nicer on a taller tank, IMO.

Reefbrites use three (3) watt LED's but only drive them at one (1) watt to prolong the life (that's what they say, not me :) ). Real nice strips that come in 24", 36" & 48".

I have a set of Powerbrites and they are spot lights. I still like the actinics effects more from PCs. If you decide to look for those, I bought mine at Premium Aquatics on the clearance section. The system is $39.99 and you can link another unit for $29.99.

im actually looking for the same thing on my 210 which is 30inches
I have nova extreme t5s which im getting good results with but wanted more color with the blue leds
do you guys think the power brites or the reef brites would be a better fit to supplimental lighting
