Adding an SL2 to a RK Lite problem

Hello everyone. I just purchased a SL2 for my RKL and I?m having problem setting it up. I can?t figure out how to set the ph probe feature. I am going to use it to control my solenoid valve for my cal reactor. I just can?t figure out how to set it up. I know I?m doing something wrong, need help.

Im not sure my RKL is seeing the SL2. The status led on the SL2 is blinking non stop. I try to program my ch 1 with the control but it doesnt show the ph option. Im not sure im doing it right. Im not to familiar with the RK controler...lol

Have you upgraded the controller to the new version? I had a problem like this where my PC4 wasn't being recognized by the controller, after upgrading both of them, it worked great.

What version is your RKL firmware? When I added the SL2 module, I had to upgrade my RKL's firmware.

When i go to system, then info it tell me its 1.02. I guess thats the firmware.who much is involved in updating the firm ware? Do i need to down load the new one and unistall the old one?

Download the programmer and firmware from here http://www.forum.digitalaquatics.com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=6280 you'll need to register an account to see the actual files.

Follow the instructions on that link. The upgrade will overwrite the prior version, so you won't have to uninstall/delete anything. You'll need the SID module for connectivity to your PC; should have came with your RKL unit. Just a note, the headunit, SL2 and any other modules you may have needs to be programmed/upgraded separately.

ok i down loaded the file but cant figure out how to load it to my RK. what am i doing wrong?

You'll need the USB cable and SID that came with the RKL, instructions are here but page 3 hast the connection diagram http://www.digitalaquatics.com/downloads/RKE Firmware Update Instructions - v107.pdf

Ok fixed. It was the firmware out of date. Installed the new 1.11 version all is working great.
