Love em! I have 2 in my 75g on an RKL. The only complaint I have about the setup is that the A and B cycles on the RKL are alternating cycles and there's no way to create an overlap.

Mine are on a 15 second alternating timer and they've been working great for a few months now.

There's no way to have one of the pumps start 7.5 seconds late? so it'll be 1 pump 7.5s, then both pumps for 7.5s, then the second pump 7.5s, then no pump 7.5s. so throw in some strange numbers so its more random.

I only tried the 1400 for a whole 10 seconds and put it back in the box for now. Planning to use it on the new tank as additional random flow. Seems good, but didn't do any extended tests.

Since you're putting it on a timer for frequent on/offs, make sure you have the replacement part for the 1400. Free replacement by contacting hydor. If you have the old one, the metal circle can pop out eventually from the on/offs and seize the pump until you push it back in. The new one is more secure so it doesn't come out.

I don't think there is. The A and B cycles are set so that you can provide an interval and it switches back and forth at the interval. No way to set A and B individually that I've found.

requested on their website, on confirmation or anything, and 2-3 weeks later it arrived in the mail.
Obviously put in your model # and address so they can send it to you.. and add a little info on what you're requesting

I was just asking cause I was able to do it on the Apex controller.

Lol... so that's what you get for an extra $400!

One of the extra features anyways. My primary reason was to dim the LED's so I can choose the % of intensity instead of turning by a knob and guessing how much I'm increasing it by. From that, I can acclimate my corals from T5's to LED's. It also allows me to Ramp up intensity from startup to get more intense as the day goes along, and reverse for sunset. I also like the web interface. Pretty cool overall controller
