vortech battery back up help

i have 2 vortech mp40w and 1 vortech battery back up with the icecap logo on the bottom. the last time my power has gone out my battery back up has done nothing. i leave the battery backup plugged in all the time. could this be the problem. could the constant charge be killing the battery?

I had the same problem I sent it to Icecap to get checked out - it turns out it was a bad cable they sent me a new one and it worked fine .Now there is a recall on the cables because they are catching fire on the wireless units contact Eco Tech Marine and they will send you one with a fuse (also pull the the cable until you get a new one).it is the cable that go's from the battery to the pump driver

Also the battery will have to be replaced about after 5 years like a car battery -You can send it back to Icecap and they will change it for a fee I forget what they charge it is something like 50 or 60 bucks.

Yes, I keep it plugged in all the time.

I had the same problem. It was the charger.
