anyone catch anything out of the ordinary? there have been stories of lion fish, trigger fish and other exotic fish not native to the waters around LI being caught here in the summer because of the Gulf Stream. Post any stories and pictures you have!

LIRA members go out with a big net every summer and catch tangs, triggers, and all sorts of goodies. They try to save as much as they can before the cold sets in. I believe they sanction them at Atlantis. I have yet to participate but I would love to this year.

You catch stuff every year. Those fish follow the Gulf Stream up and this year is no different than any others. I catch a lot of triggers, thats for sure.
