Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who have contributed to my aiptasia garden. They are all healthy, eating, growing and multiplying.

How I remember that first glimpse of the lone lovely creature whose ocean home is my tank.

In particular I would like to thank aiptasia-x which has been the fertilizer. Zap one (cover the whole thing completely, watch it implode) , it grows back and three more appear like magic. They say if you love someone/thing set them free and if they love you they will come back. Guess what! My aips love me:inlove:!

P.S. This is not meant as a mean post, just venting a bit. I guess I'll use aiptasia-x to reduce the larger ones and try peppermints (the shrimp, not the candy :splitspin)

LOL, LMFAO.

that is great, don't worry, having same problem here. I was going to see if anyone on this site has a copperband, or peppermints or anything they would like to lend out.

Try chipping away at the rock that the aiptasia is on, then move all aiptasia into your refugium. If you really have that much, they will act as an awesome filter.

At this point I can count maybe up to 15 in the tank and most of them are on one rock that I can put in the sump. The problem is that there are little ones growing at various places around the tank, few, but obviously increasing.

Kalwasser paste will do the trick, if you inject anything into them it you need to make sure the needle is actually in it not poked through it, and syphon it right after you do it, otherwise it releases pore's right back into the system and poof 1 turns into alot of them
