They should have told you that I'm "the master" of the half empty or even 1/4 empty drilling of tanks.. It's not for the faint of heart or skill.. It takes a ridiculously steady hand and that hand needs a drill that it has used for a while.. Oh yeah, 28 water drilled under my belt.. 56 regular and no breaks..:tongue1:
Sorry about your loss..

We have a 100% success rate of drilling tanks also......without water.
We refuse to drill tanks with water. From now on, any requests to drill with water in it we'll definitely refer to you.

The problem is not the success rate. It's the issue that happens when only the first one breaks, and the law of averages is knocking on your door Tobin :splitspin

Acone15, sorry to hear about your headache.

Thanks for the support men/ women. I'm actually very relieved that some people have drilled half full tank and had success. To be honest, I still feel very dumb. I ruined my tank, condo, they condo bellow. This believe this overflow attempt will cost me close to approximate 3k after I get new flooring and instillation etc. I only had a 47 gallon with close to 40pnds of rock in it (approximate 30 gallons of water). I hope people will learn from this thread and take proper precautions when attempting to improve their setup ( see some people who are reading this have 200 gallon + )
Aquariums have always been a part of my life, and now at age 29 I can remember fish and their names from when I was in elementary school (lol). At times like these I try my best to enjoy the hobby, and appreciate the what I like to refer as a "painting that moves". I bought a new aquarium today; A 16 gallon bow front, which is much smaller than the original, however it a start to rebuild the "perfect aquarium" which we all try to achieve.

Thank for reading and sorry to rant on and on, but it's been a crazy feels good to type it out. Lol wooossssaaaaa. Woooooossssaaaaa

Yeah, I know and it's probably better if I just keep going instead of talk about it,,lol.. Every time I drill with water I think about the tank breaking and I get through everytime..

Just remember... the first time one breaks won't be a 10g or a 20g. The first one will be the 600g... You may want to invest in some SCUBA gear just in case. :splitspin

024.jpghello all... Justwanted to update you all on my experience.... just cause. Im officicaly crazy, my house is torn up from mold inspeactors, and my insurance company and condo association are in round 2 in the octogon fighting for blood. lol my new 16 gallon aqaurium however is very nice and easy to clean. My 18'' t5's are sufficiant for this tank seeing that they were a bit under qualified for my 50 gallon that was 40in deep. however with that said, im going to wait to add anything because my ammonia has spoked since all of the moving and new live sand.
Its a 16 gallon bow fron with 20 to 25 pounds of love rock which is perfect. seeing that the tank is so small I thinking of a yellow watchen, a emrald grab or two and maybe a maroon clown fish. I think that would be enough fish for the size. All suggestions welcome.
