....with my new 65 gallon tank! :tub: Scored a 65 gallon aga tank, stand, t12 lighting, ac110, 200w heater, an air pump and extras for $30 at a garage sale over the weekend! The tank is in great condition but the stand and probably the light fixture needs to go.

Need some suggestions on what to do with it. I definitely want to do a fowlr tank and it will be viewable from 3 sides. Also will be doing an aquascape using acrylic rods/pvc and/or epoxy so it will be something very interesting. Will be drilling the tank and using a sump below for refugium, skimmer, heater and return.

What I don't know is what to put as far as livestock. I was kind of leaning towards an aggressive tank but have never had one before.

Being that I will be doing the aquascape from base rock, there will be some time before having to make livestock decisions but I need a direction so that the tank does not just get thrown together. Any ideas or suggestions....

Did you ask if there was copper ever used in the tank? (I know you said it'd be for a FOWLR but it's always good to know)

Are you planning on drilling it for a sump? That's what I'd do.. as for livestock.. you may be a bit limited regarding stocking because of the smallish footprint, but it can definitely be done.

Yes, I will be drilling the tank for a sump. Will use the same overflow kit from glass holes that I have for the 75 and will do a 3/4" return (both on the smaller side where it will be just behind a wall).

From what I was told it was a freshwater tank and no treatments were used. I'll still use the copper absorbing pads just in case before putting in the base rock. The dimensions for the tank are approx 36x18x24 iirc.
