I live in a 1 bedroom coop soo I have no where to hookup my unit I just bought it's a coral life 3 stage

do's anyone know the name of the fitting that taps into an existing water line to add an outlet. in my case I'd like to add a garden hose faucet under my bathroom sink so I can run the rodi.
Thanks for your help

Matt,

What I did, was in my bathroom, unscrew the piece that comes from the sink, bring that and the ro/do attachment to a hardware store, and they had the fitting in stock.

The problem, is there is more than one size that can fit. However, there are not many sizes used.

Normally, I would have recommended a home depot or a Lowes, but these guys have been letting me down recently.

That's why, if you call up an on-line vendor like BulkReefSupply, they may possibly send the wrong fitting.

As per reefer, I think it would be wise, for you to get a plumber, to make a hookup under the sink and hidden. This is way better, than having an attachment, that is showing in your bathroom.

Or if you are handy DIY...

It's called a saddle valve. Just attach the valve to any exposed pipe under ur sink.
( cold water ). With the two screws it will come with. tighten down on the the piercing valve. Make sure u attach ur flex hose to it then open the valve.

The rodi don't need to be stored under the cabinet. Just the flex line to supply it. The rodi should come with push in fitting so u can remove it any time u wish. U can get a push in ball valve to stop water flow when need be. do u have a maintenance crew in the complex that can install a hose bibb if that is really what u want.

The reason I want the hose bib is because that is the attachment that came on the rodi I bought used.
Just figured that would be best way to do it? Can u add a hose Bibb using fittings or would it have to be plumbed in ??

Not seeing what u have i would say u would have to plumb it in. Also u would have shut off the main water supply to plumb in the the hose bibb. Can u post a pic of the fitting on the ro and under the the sink that u would like to install it to.
