Bad Red Sea Test Kit.

So I been using the red sea mag test kit. It was giving me mag readings of 1000 to 1100. 2 days ago I decided to buy the salifert mag kit. My new readings was 1460/1500. A LFS told me that not to worry that that range is ok. What do yall think?

A tank should be able to handle Mg up to near 2000. (Note: which is obviously not ideal, nor what to aim for) Folks run it around 1700 - 1800 to get rid of bryopsis, so you should be fine.
It will settle down as you do usual water changes. No harm, no foul.

I had the same problem mounths back bought the redsea test kit for mag and gave me a low reading . So i started to add mag and tested a week later and the mag tested lower bought a salfert and now mag was very high from me adding mag.
