Buy yourself an acrylic fish trap from Drs. F & S. Put it in the tank for a day just to let the fish get used to it and stop feeding the tank. On the third day put some frozen food in a metal tea strainer and put it inside the trap - even the most skittish fish will go in the trap if it is hungry enough and voila - trapped fish. HTH.

i usually get them to swim high into the water column then i turn the lights out so all the fish freeze in place and thats when i strike (this is done at night for better effectiveness). used this technique last night :P but catching a fish in reef tank is the biggest pain!!!

They could be just establishing pecking order. What fish is it fighting with? Also are you POSITIVE it's that Christmas Wrasse from the Christmas Islands? Some people sell the Christmas Wrasse (Sri Lanka) when its really a Clouded Wrasse... you may want to double check. Mine usually fight but calm down in a day or two.
