I have a 75 gal tank with 20 gal sump I'm growing macro algae in my sump running 2 reactors 1 for carbon 1 for phosban
Got about 70 Lbs of live rock
4 inch bed with live sand
2 camel shrimp
10 hermits
15-20 assorted snails
2 clown fish
1 hippo tang
1 Midas blenny
1 Pacific candy basslet

Assorted corals mostly sps mini colonies/ frags

Anyway how much should I feed the tank And how often??
right now I feed every other day Sometimes every 3 days

Only problem with my parameters is my phosphates I don't have a Hanna meter but I get brown algae on my glass needs to be cleaned every other day. This is why I try to keep the feedings down but I feel like every 3 days is not enough.

... if your having problems with algae then you have to cut down somewhere...the only fish that needs to eat often is the tang because it's very active...put a strip of dried seaweed on clip for it like I do for mine in between feedings ..also becarefull adding softies like polyps and zoas with the camel shrimp..their on the menu.

i do twice a day, and each meal is different(one is usually some type of frozen food, and the other flakes), the only exceptions are my tangs, they get nori paper every other day, and they are all FAT! like really fat. i dont have any algae issues either. i judge how much to put in the tank based whether they can eat it all with in a minute.

Alfie, great video! Beautiful fish...

Matt, I feed a few times a day (whenever the fish stare at me when I pass by the tank) with a pinch of pellets. Then at night I feed my special blend (brine, mysis, flakes, pellets and seaweed, all pre soaked in garlic and selcon) for like a minute or two..

Funny you ask that!! I'm picking up a precision marine one bullet tomorrow as an upgrade for my CPR aero force I threw the CPR on there after I upgraded from a 34 took me longer then I thought to find the right skimmer. This tank has been up and running for about 6 weeks

The brown algae you are getting is part of the normal cycle of the tank (it goes through various algae cycles after the nitrogen cycle is finished).

Please feed your fish daily in reasonable amounts that they will consume in 3-5 minutes.
If using frozen best to rinse it before use.
