need advise w some light right now i only have powercompact and my color arent very good. i was looking into t5. what would be the right bulbs?

What are you keeping? SPS, LPS, softies?

More important than bulb type is fixture type and reflectors.

How deep is your tank and what kind of sps?
I have a 75 and I keep montis happy with a nova pro t5 with stock bulbs. I haven't tried anything more light demanding yet.
If you go t5 look for a unit with individual or parabolic reflectors.
I think a tek light would be a better choice.
