aqualight pro conversion

so i wanted to upgrade my coralife aqualight pro with the 250 watt mh hqi's...i changed the ballasts to the electronic icecap ones and it seem like all is good ....iv noticed that maybe its just me but the bulbs look a little bit brighter with the electronic ballast....anyway my question is can the wiring in the unit handle the electronic ballast.i dont want it to catch fire ...it runs pretty hot ...i added a ice cap fan to the unit as well ...just wanted to hear if anyone has done this before and is it ok and safe...thanks for looking...brian

Was the unit originally made with 250 watt bulbs.

yes it was...i just wired 250 watt ice cap electronic ballasts to it instead of the ones that came with it....
