how much 2 part solution do you use

how much do you use per day? or per week?
ok i have a 120 gallon tank with alot of sps and use bionic 2 part liquid for the calcium and alkalinity. If you also use a 2 part solution i wonder how much you add to your stocked tank?
what is the normal dosage for a stocked tank vs a tank with a few frags? my tank is at 420calcium and 8dkh on alk i would like to raise those numbers a little to 470 cal, and 9-10dkh how much would i have to add ? i have been adding just this week 10ml of each but need to add more as the numbers are the same even a little lower so now i am adding 15ml how much is too much to add at one time ..sorry for all the questions any answers would be nice.

It depends on how much Ca or KH the tank is using. If the Ca is remaining steady but the KH drops then you need to add more buffer.

Try this....test your parameters on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday and record the results.

See how much of a difference there is in the parameters and adjust your dosing accordingly.

The next Sunday do the whole thing again...results may reveal that you have to add 10 ml of Ca but 20 ml of buffer. Its a tedius process but will give you a real accurate view of your parameters. After a week or two you should know exactly how much your Ca or KH have dropped every day.

Also, start a journal of all the times you test your water....keep a log of where you've been and where you are heading.

yes i have added the 10 ml of both parts and they are still the same so i have gone to 12ml, and now 15 ml a day the dkh is 7.8 now 8dkh calcium is 400 now 420 so i guess it is going to be 15ml a day from 5 before i added the new sps lol wow had no idea it was going to be soo much per day bet guys with 300 gallon tanks and fully stocked laugh as they probably use a cup of each a day ...just wondered what you guys use per day that is really what i wanted to know your tank size and how much your corals are eating daily..

what's your Magnesium level? IME its hard to keep Cal & Alk in a stable range if Magnesium level are lower than 1350-1400.

be sure to use good test kits to test and use the Reef calculator...Happy reefing

I use the brightwell code a&b and it use to be every mon and friday 15 or 20 ml of the a which is cal and 25 to 30 mls of the b alk. but my tank went a little crazy and now Im doing every day 40 mls of both and the cal sits at 390 and the alk was at 9 but dropped to 6.4 so I am trying to get that up . my mag is around 1360 or so.

thanks for all the information since this is my first all sps tank i am getting used to the dosing ..from lps and softies which require alot less..nice to see all that calcium going into the corals i have noticed new buds on my millipora every week it seems lately...took 3 months to notice any change
