MH vs Leds ?

Ok im really leaning towards leds at this point. But im worried about leds what do you guys feel is better mh? or leds? you think leds can give good growth with NO problem for sps corals? sorry guys this is a huge decision for me my tank is here and plumbed and ready for some sand rock and cycle so the time is now to make a decision thank you all.

no i just had atinic leds, never had leds as main lighting, if i go leds im already 95% sure of wich ones to use.

well just like you i am on the border of decisions between led or my 250w x3 halides. i have read thus far leds are practically mh minus the heat and power draw. i love my halides but it has caused my temps to really change dramatically. and before i buy a chiller ...lol again (last one didn't work right) i rather just stop using the mh that are producing the heat.

i am going to be building my own led fixtures soon. 3x fixtures w/ 48leds 3w and make it dimmable. i will most likely do more then just the cool whites and royal blues. possibly a few reds in there just to help it not be sooo white and to make some other colors of the corals pop. so i say go led.

yea bt im feeling the same way im just worried if there up to mh par as far as growing sps , fine mh run alot electric and stuff but one thing for that we do know is that it can grow sps and lps very good. thats what im asking is leds at that point NOW to replace mhs? idk
