do vortechs need good air flow.im doing a 92 corner and im planning on cutting a square hole in the drywall so i can place my 2 vortechs on the side panels inside the wall.will this be alright or will they get to hot and burn up.im leaving 8 in of space above the tank for excess to them
i made the hole in the wall 14x14 and 1" space in between tank and other wall.it has room just wondering if it needed more.once its in its in there is no moving it.i have enough room to get my hand in there if needed to take it out or even move it 3 inches up and down left or right.
You should leave enough room to get the units out if you should ever need to repair them. My units start to heat up if they are driven over 50% of capacity so you should have some ability to keep it cool, they are not cheap!
That installation is definitely not the way to run them. The reason they have air slots is because they need to draw air for cooling. I think you run the risk of burning them out prematurely. Obviously JMO
hey master i do have 14 inches in between studs which gives it around 5 inches left and right and 5 inches down and open at the top.there is a 1 to2 in spaceto back of dry wall.if you dont think this is enough i will listen and figure something else out.i just didnt want the bow in the front to have anything on it
If you have at least 1" behind the pump and air circulation around it, you might be able to get away with it. As you're aware, this is not the ideal mounting but it might work. Keep a close eye on everything and make sure it doesn't cause any excessive heat (beyond what it's supposed to generate).
