I got a crocea from ronen a few months back not thinking at the time I set it in the sand and left it alone. Now im looking to move the clam but I know that it footed itsself through the sand onto the bottom of my glass tank or so it seems since when I gently try to move it, it wont budge. Anyway to have the clam release its hold without hurting it or should I leave it where it is?

John ,I use the both ways ,Rocking the clam gently back and froth till it releases ,or if it was attach to the PVC pipe i had it on ,i cut the byssal as far away from the clam ,Rich (jackson) and I did that it works fine ,just dont stress out the clam by pulling on it ,since you have in the sand bed try to rocking back and froth ,so you dont release crap out of your sand JMO
