so ive seen membranes for sale a home depo, and lowes y can i use one of these in my ro unit? my unit is suppose to produce 100gpd. thanks for the help!

Yes you have to, but more importantly I believe is matching the membrane's gpd with the restrictor's gpd rating.

how do i found out whats the restrictors limit?

if you have a 100 than the restrictor is 100....mine was originally 60 and increased it to a 75 ..I just changed the restrictor to a 75 works fine.
