Hey Guys.. Really need some help with this. I setup my 240g with a 75g sump.Heres the problem. I can't fit anything in sump but my skimmer, heaters. Footprint to big, I have some room to try and install a separate tank next to it.
Do i need to drill the sump again to attach a fuge. But if i need to do that how without removing sump. I would have to break down the whole system to do that. By the way it's a folwr dt. Or can i get away with just skimmer filter sock,
carbon.

what are the dimensions of the spare area you have, you could make a fuge and supply your sump, you dont have to drill the sump, just have to T off the drain, and put a small pump in the fuge to return water back to sump. if you want i can draw something up for you.

with the pump in the fuge it could be very risky.god forbid the pump fails for some reason or power goes out in the pump you will have a flood.best way to make a separate fuge is to raise the other tank higher then your sump and just use gravity feed.not an opinion its a fact.

that maybe that u dont have the room.but im telling you the mess that will be made is worse then the look of a small stand next to your dt.im talking from expierence.and if you live in an apt your bottom floor neighbor will be pissed and you will have to pay for the damage.if the power goes out in your place you will be guaranteed to have a flood
