My collection is starting to overtake the plugs and disks. I'd like to propagate them but afraid I'd kill the polyps when using the coral bone cutter. Any best practices used to propagate these? How do you guys handle the single polyp crags without getting glue on them when gluing to the plugs?

Any special tools needed? I got razor blades and coral bone cutters..

When u cut with a razor blade do u cut from the side or slice through the bottom of the polyp? The process is like surgery ..

well, i am not nearly as experienced as makoy. I only cut my first 1 polyp frag yesterday (from makoy, and going to be gifted at the swap) but i sliced vertically btw the base and the thing it was on (in my case a flat plug) and then cut horizontally where the polyp had grown from the other one (the little root like piece that connected the two. :) Hope this is clear. If not tell me and I will try to explain a little better.

We will be having multiple fragging demonstrations during the swap - it would be a great event for you to attend to learn how to frag a number of different types of coral!! :)
