This tank looks amazing. Does anyone have it right now and can share their experience with it?

Also, where can I get this? Anyone know stores that sell this? Thanks.

My replacement of my old 50 gallon tank is between this tank, and the Deep Blue 57 RR tank. However, I can find squat about that other tank meanwhile this tank has gotten a lot of attention. I've never even heard of deep blue aquatics either.

I have it and love it, I know a couple of people here have it too, perhaps they will chime in. As for me, I like the dimensions, 40 gallon breeder but taller. It is a pretty tank, the overflow in the middle is nice, I originally wanted 2 islands on either side of it but the rock I bought is way too big. I am not tanking pics of my tank until it is fully lit. As of now, I have half of it lit with leds and half in the dark for the dendos (until I can afford LEDs on the other side), it is pretty interesting.

Did you get the stand that comes with it?

That stand is a real turn-on for me because it opens on the sides and the front with a big door. Some stands, like the one from deep blue blocks the front section so it would be difficult to work inside the stand.

You got the Deep Blue Aquatics 57 rimless. The only difference I can tell between the two is that Deep Blue uses starphire glass. And that all models come with the overflow.

yea. difference is minimal at best. i don't even see the difference except my overflow got a cover. the oceanic illuminata was quoted $50 more for some reason.

I'm lookin at a build soon with both of these tanks I like them both bein as they r both very similar my 3 questions are this 1 how big is the overflow dimensions on the illuminata ? The deep blue I know is 7"x10" or the Other way around whatever so is the oceanic overflow smaller I know the tech 90 has a slim Nano over flow so was wondering if the illuminata tank was the same.2- also was wondering how many holes are drilled into it? The deep blue has 2-3/4" returns and 1-1" drain is the illuminata the same? 3- finally do any of you who own either of these tanks use a herbie style over flow with 2 drains(1main1emergency)? I just wanna be sure I can use this system with a 1" main drain and 1 3/4" for the emergency drain?supposed to make the system balanced with a gate valve on the 1" drain I can match the drain to the return creating a full siphon which should be silent and with the 3/4" emergency if anything clogs main water will only rise @ 1/2" b4 emergency kicks in any help would b awesome thanks guys n gals

This thread is 6 months old, I think he may have figured out what he wanted by now lol.

Check out the 57 rimless club thread if you want to tell your experience with them or have questions.

And Rick, your right, they don't MAKE this tank anymore, but oceanic still has dozens of them, and any larger well known lfs could special order it like "that pet place". Sadly most are not the reef ready style. Also, the oceanic stand was mainly glass I believe with read wood or metal...
