brown alage break out

need some help i have a tank for over 5 years. all of a sudden i have brown alage growing all over my tank.i have a phospate reactor running need some help.

can you give some info on the system?

filtration, water parameters, tank size, frequency in water changes and maintenance schedule, anything and everything.

Mike, I had the same problem a few weeks ago where brown algae was all over my sand. I simply turn off my lights for 2days and did a 15% water change. Also, directing my pump towards the sand resolved the issue.

A tank 5 years old should not just get brown algae, you must have either bad rodi filters or high po4 or bad bulbs,etc...
Do you over feed?
When was the last time you did a water change or change the phosband media?

just change my lights to leds. 150 gallon tank, 40 gallon sump with a asm g4 skimmer.also have 12 fish .

it could be a combination of many things...lights on too long with overfeeding could be one.

Swap back lights

Try your old lights and see if that helps.
