I believe it is 21 inches tall. Height doesn't matter. They are very dart-like swimmers and can shoot up in the blink of an eye. I don't know how far out of the water they can go but I would imagine it is pretty high. +6 inches easy. Please do not convince yourself that you can keep one of these fish without a fully covered lid. If you need a lid just PM me or smoq and we can help you with one.

I wish I could recover that quickly from a stressful experience. Seconds after you put him back in the tank he is back to work, business as usually. Meanwhile, you are on the other side of the glass trying to calm yourself down so you dont have a heart attack.

Glad you got him back though. Good luck keeping that sucker on lock down.

hmm i really wanted one....but i dont want a lid, i have a goby thats a known jumper and hes never tried to...i figures it was because of the tank height....oh well guess ill wait on that
