Yep.. that used to happen all the time in my tank. Cool to watch the plumes of whatever it is, gettin blasted up into the current. I noticed many of my corals opened up during these events. Since the last time i saw it happen (6 months) ago.. stomatella snails are hard to come by. I know my peppermint shrimps had their way with the smalls ones in one 'fuge. Some other predator I added must have wiped out the population in the main tank, so the only place they exist now is in the 2nd 'fuge (half of a 55 gal). But IMO thats a great thing to happen.. I think Stoma's are some of the best cleanup crews you can get. Ideal refugium inhabitants ;) and will feed your corals too, as shown in the vid.
