I was doing my monthly water change when I noticed that my Brute can was warm to the touch. Turns out that the via aqua titanium heater malfunctioned and baked the water to a sizzling 101 F.
It's now cooled down to 94 F.
Can I still use this saltwater once I cool it down to about what my display tank is running at? Or is this batch "fried" chemically that is and would you start new? Problem is I already drained most of my sump out for the water change until I realized that the saltwater bin was baked.
From now on I am going to run my spare ranco as a temp controller on my Brute can and obviously throw the via aqua titanium heater in the garbage.
Input appreciated.
thanks in advance.
