The corals posted on the left side of the Home Page are from our Reef Database of Corals, so yes those would have descriptions.
The pictures featured on the main page are simply pulled from our Gallery, some are new pics, some may be older. We do give credit to the photographer but may not always be able to identify the exact piece pictured, especially when it comes to zoas as too often the names are subjective or arguable. At other times there are multiple corals in the picture.
Perhaps better not to mar the photos with footnotes and start a thread like this to ask instead..or write to the photographer? (IMHO)
