so i got an asm skimmer and it was working fine until 5 days ago.i cleaned the collection cup plugged it in and dialed it in like it always is and it worked fine till i nwoke up and it was overflowing.i cleaned it out again plugged it in and was fine, came back an hour later and again was overflowing.so i dialed it down some it was gurgeling like it was to low but i left it.went to work came home and again was overflowing.i looked in the skimmer and it didnt seem to be making bubbles.i took it out cleaned the tubing and soaked the pump in vinegar and let it run in fresh water for 1/2 hour plugged it in and seemed like it was working.dialed it low again just to make sure.cme back in 1/2 hour later and it was overflowing.im stumped.the only thing i can think of is it in a closed cabinet even though i have vents maybe its not getting proper air going through the tube

Make sure to run some hot water through the air tube and clean out any salt or calcium deposits.. Also, last time this happened to me, the only thing that worked was to run carbon overnight (like 2x the normal amount).. be careful though. You can "overdose" on carbon as well.
