How do they reproduce?

I ask because the one I have is huge, and the past couple of days has been kind of figure-8 shaped. I can't see it splitting apart like an anemone, due to the stony base. The mouth doesn't appear to be dividing.

My bubble coral is 10"X6" and I had it for 7 yrs. Bubble coral is classified as an LPS. Its skeleton is different than most other corals, which makes it very differcult to propagate. I wouldnt attempt to propagate this unless you are an expert. Even then I wouldnt.

I wasn't going to attempt to split it-- I was just curious if it was going to on its own.

Mine has gone from about 4" to about 8" in less than three months. I may have to get rid of it-- I like it a lot, but it's taking up too much space in my small tank.

I've had mine for a month..by far my favorite one in the tank... I hope when I switch to LED's next week that I'll get great growth like that
