So its not a 'fad' but a cycle of in's and outs Total control, gotta love it .

I geuss you would consider what I have a shallow sandbed. Roughly an inch and a half to two inches of sand...

I'm running a SSB on my 75gal. Presently, a softy tank with a few SPS frags. I just love the way sand looks, but I can see the advantage of BB if I was going for all SPS.

SSB here. Tons of SPS as well. I like the look. My nassarious keep turning it over. Can't say I've ever had a single sandstorm. But then again my flow wouldn't be considered overly turbulent.

Oh, and my pistol shrimp is the best excavator I've ever met. Never sleeps, always works. Wish I could hire that little sucker. lol
